Welcome back to The Weekly Joke—
In this laugh-packed episode:
Kendrick Bully Lamar 😒
Laughter from the internets 🛜 (Yes, I purposely added the “s”)
The Weekly Joke! 😂
Laughter is the best medicine 🤕 (Doctor's orders!)
Comedian of the Week: This dude is naturally funny! 🎤
Kendrick this, Kendrick that
I see why Drake had the motto "NO NEW FRIENDS." Letting people in can suck when you’re that high up because they can disappoint and even hurt you, as we’re seeing right now.
Currently, everyone is team Kendrick Lamar after he went after Drizzy and pretty much ether’d him with the hit song Not Like Us.
However... howeva... not everyone is team Kendrick. I’m on team Drake, quietly letting Kendrick have his moment. Right now, K Dot is preaching unity (his LA show) while also rapping about hating someone, calling them a pedophile, and making it extremely damn catchy.
But us team Drake folks talk, and the 6 God will have the last laugh. It may not be in 2024. May not be in 2025. Hell, it may not be for another 50 years. But Drizzy will have his moment.
Welcome back to The Weekly Joke, folks, where we talk about rap beef, worldly events, and charcuterie boards—everything but comedy.
1. Funnys on the web
Hawk Tuah - that’s all I gotta say 👀 someone get this woman a medallion, a key to the city, a nobel peace prize! If you haven’t heard about this video by now, you need to reenter society immediately.

But wait! She’s certainly not the first to say “hawk tuah” or however it’s pronounced.

And if she don’t treat me like this, I don’t wanna tawk tuah. 👫
2. The Weekly Joke
My favorite part of this newsletter…and your least favorite 😭 the part where you help me decide what jokes to finish writing and tell on stage.
Joke A: My mom is different from your mom, she doesn’t want grandkids…
Joke B: I judge people who have damaged cars…
I now have a backlog of two jokes I need to finish up and tell on stage. Don’t worry, I’m keeping count—relaxxxxx. I’ll get to them. I’m hitting the stage a lot these days, so there will be plenty of opportunities for the winning jokes.
The two on backlog:
Dating advice for fellas… If you’re getting to know a woman, do not watch crime shows with them…
I don’t have any tattoos…
3. Laughter is the best medicine
It’s not just a saying folks - it’s true. Take this article from helpguide.org, sounds credible to me 🤷♂️
Laughter burns calories: laughing for 10-15 minutes a day can do whaaaaaaaa? It can allegedly burn 40 calories. So, hope you burned about five cals reading this newsletter 🤗
Laughter boosts the immune system: laughter can help you avoid a cold! Okay, maybe that’s a bit far-fetched, butttt it can decrease stress and increase immune cells and antibodies, which can help fight infection folks!
Laughter protects the heart: maybe not from heartbreak, but increases blood flow, which can protect you against heart attacks and other cardiovascular issues…and hey, maybe it’ll give you a break from crying after a break up.
4. Comic of The Week
This comedian of the week gave a hilarious set at the Comedy Store last week for Crack ‘Em Up Thursdays, a show catered to a Black audience. He had the crowd rollin’ with a funny bit about the Kendrick concert and Not Like Us (Despite my K Dot disdain right now).
His comedy came off as very conversational and like he was having a conversation, not telling jokes! I also found out we are in the same frat.
Shout out to the Comedian of the Week: Danny Rag! He just recently started a podcast called Rags House. Go check him out and get ready to laugh your socks off!
That’s all, folks! Hope you enjoyed this issue of The Weekly Joke.
P.S. I feel very proud of sneaking "charcuterie board" into this newsletter... even though it didn’t make much sense. Anyway, I’m off to go get some charcut (Char-coot).
P.S.S. I kicked butt in kickball yesterday (June 24) and it felt great. Haven’t played in six years, and guess what? I didn’t pull any muscles!
P.S.S.S. Go check out my YouTube channel where I document my comedy journey. Thanks for the support and keep laughing!
